This is English not as a foreign tongue, but as a friendly sound that lives in the names of kittens, the rhythm of footsteps, and the question a child asks when she finds a parrot that speaks.
What We’re Creating
A complete, story-based audio experience in simple spoken Tamil that builds English understanding in rural children, using:
- 2 Fictional Stories from village life (like Mini finding four meowing surprises under a pot)
- 2 Epic or Puranic Stories that bring pets and values together (like Ganesha and his little mouse)
- Post-story conversations that feel like loving chats, not lessons
- Try-it-yourself activities that build vocabulary, grammar, and confidence using the child’s surroundings
- Teacher audio guide with exact steps to bring each unit to life
- Riddle game script to make phonics and wordplay joyful
The Learning Method
We don’t say: “Repeat after me. This is a cat.”
We tell a story of Mini, who can speak to animals — until one day, her cat disappears.
The child listens, wonders, and feels with Mini.
Then they say: “This is my pet. It is a cat.” — not from memory, but from meaning.
We bring alphabets A to I into the real world:
- C is for cat, who says meow
- B is for bed, where she hides
- D is for door, which Mini opens carefully
- M is for milk, poured for kittens
We introduce:
- Articles and sentence patterns: This is, It is a...
- Word wall vocabulary: my, is, in, one to five
- Phonics games and rhymes that feel like play
- Conversational English woven gently into Tamil narration — never translated, always understood
Who It’s For
This audio series is made for children:
- In rural homes with little or no access to trained English teachers
- Who learn through sound, story, and repetition in context
- Who speak Tamil at home, and feel hesitant around English
- Who need meaning before memory — and joy before grammar
Each Unit Includes:
- 2 Fictional stories grounded in village imagination
- 2 Epic or Puranic stories that bring values to voice
- 4 Post-story conversations that build speaking confidence
- 1 Activity audio with games, phonics, and tasks using home objects
- 1 Teacher guide for easy classroom or home delivery
- 1 Riddle and Wordplay script for joyful revision
All scripts will be available in spoken Tamil, but with all subject English terms — alphabets, words, grammar — left untouched.
Children learn in their tongue, but speak the subject in English.
Why This Work Matters
In many rural schools, English is taught by writing A–Z and saying “Repeat after me.”
But a child can’t feel a letter that way.
She feels English when she says:
- “My cat is lost.”
- “It is a kitten!”
- “One, two, three, four!”
She doesn’t just recite “This is a dog.”
She imagines Balu running behind a butterfly, calling “Come here, Bow-bow!” — and laughs as she learns.
This is English from the ear to the heart, and then to the tongue.
